I work as a freelance cultural programmer, artistic researcher, and editor.
As a cultural programmer, I develop programs and festivals that blur the boundaries between different art forms. The artists I collaborate with come from performance, visual arts, and theater. Together we create formats that range from stage performances to soil tastings, night walks, and synchronized swimming. The projects I develop emerge from close collaboration with neighborhoods and communities
As an artistic researcher, I work on gardening, ecology, trans-corporeality, plant wisdom, and herbalism. In 2022, I completed a research MA in Cultural Analysis (Arts & Culture) at the University of Amsterdam. Much of my research is grounded in my own work with plants at the community garden I Can Change the World With My Two Hands in Amsterdam. As part of my artistic research, I am currently training in herbalism.
My text-based work includes editing and translating exhibition catalogues and publications for various cultural institutions and publishing houses—most recently for DISTANZ Verlag, Schirn Kunsthalle, Maxim Gorki Theater, Kunsthalle Recklinghausen, and Hamburger Bahnhof.
I am based in Amsterdam.
